Salama: A Creole music & dance celebration

SALAMA is a cosmopolitan collective of Indian ocean natives & other artists of diverse origins that share a passion for Maloya, Reunion Island’s traditional percussion-based music. Maloya has its roots in Reunion's complex and painful history, and today it's associated with ancestry, being Creole, and blissful freedom.

Salama is fortunate to be a pioneer in sharing the powerful and magical Maloya in Australia, proudly bringing original musical shows that skilfully blend the traditional and modern while sharing stories of joy and nostalgia.
